About Us
The Self Centre, Wellness Spa in Edmonton was founded in 2005 by Lara Clement, an RMT and holistic practitioner who worked in a couple spas and massage therapy clinics and while she loved the work she did, she wanted to create something different, a different atmosphere. The Self Centre is now known for providing quality services and a ‘spa fusion’ environment. Not too “Floofy” and overpriced like many spas and not overly sterile like some clinics. We focus on wellness and healing in a calm and soothing environment.

Spa Etiquette:
Please arrive a few minutes before your first appointment to fill out your health history form. If you need to use our direct billing services please arrive a bit early before EACH appointment to have time to fill out your paperwork and so we can start the treatment on time.
We reserve your time slot especially for you, and to ensure timekeeping in the centre we will always finish the session on time even with late arrivals.
We love children, but please don’t bring them to the spa to wait while you have your treatment (we do however, treat many children, so feel free to bring them for a massage! You are welcome to sit in the room for the duration).
Cell phones should be turned off to not disturb treatments that are in session.
Tipping is optional.
We require 24 hours notice if you need to cancel/change your appointment so that we may accommodate another client in need of our therapeutic services. No-shows are automatically billed 100% of the appointment cost and the same will be billed in the case of less than 24 hours notice (at the discretion of the individual therapist in extenuating circumstances). This pays for our high quality staff for being here.
